I’m sure we can all think of famous logos. Netflix, Chanel, Ferrari. They all have a certain something that just instantly lets you know who they belong to and the story behind them. They say everything without saying much at all.

The point is that for businesses, logos are everything, and a good logo design could easily mean the difference between being recognized and being forgettable.

But let’s be honest, we don’t all have Ferrari budgets. As meaningful as a sleek and shiny new logo is, it’s not always in the budget, and sometimes people resort to finding something a little more wallet-friendly.

So, what are the best logo makers in 2024 and beyond? That’s what we’re here to discuss today. We’re going to go over details, prices, pros, cons, and everything else in between. Let’s do this.

1. Canva

We can’t really talk about logo makers without mentioning Canva. It is without a doubt one of the most popular design platforms out there, and it’s for good reason. It’s free, relatively easy to use, and gets the job done for most basic designs. And with the addition of their AI tool, Magic Design, they also offer one of the best AI logo makers out there currently.

A lot of people think of Canva for flyers or social media covers. Some people might even think of Canva websites, but it also works really well as a logo maker tool, too. The only drawback is that the free version is very, very limited. You literally have just a handful of shapes and elements to play with, and it still requires a designer’s eye to make it perfect.

Canva Pro Pricing

Canva has a free tier, but If you want to take it to the next level and have access to better tools and more designs (like one of the best AI logo makers, Magic Design), you’ll have to opt for the paid version, Canva Pro. It starts at $120 per year for a single person. If you work in a team, the price drops to $100 per person per year.

Not an insane price, but if all you’re looking for is a logo maker, then it can be a bit pricey.

2. Wix Logo Maker

Wix is probably one of the most well-known website-building platforms, but it might surprise you to know that it also offers one of the best logo generators out there, too.

The process is reliant on you answering a short series of questions:

  • What type of business do you have?
  • What vibe do you want for your logo? (Multiple choice)
  • What text do you want in your logo?
  • What’s your tagline or slogan? (This one’s optional)

After a bit of wand-waving, you get quite a few options that are all customizable. You can change colors, add new elements, insert images, and more. That said, the customization is still pretty generic.

Wix Logo Maker Pricing

Believe it or not, Wix offers a completely free logo design, but you do have to pay for a premium plan to download it. They offer a free sample, but the resolution is low, and it’s not very useful for any business application.

Premium plans start at $50 per year and can go up to $60 for just the logo. They also offer a handful of other packages, each with their own offers and prices.

3. TurboLogo

TurboLogo is another AI-powered logo maker that is quick and simple, and removes a lot of the guesswork that goes into design. The process is almost identical to the previous mention, but it does give you a little extra boost by allowing you to pick from some already-designed logos for references.

The editing process is very similar, too, but it has a bit more of a Canva feel in the editing menu. There’s nothing too fancy here, but you have some decent variety in elements, unique font designs, and icons. What’s also very helpful is that at any step of the design process, they provide mockups of your logo on t-shirt designs, signage, business cards, and more.

TurboLogo Pricing

TurboLogo might be a decent logo generator option, but it is not free at all. To download your freshly-made logo, you’ll have to pay for a premium subscription. These packages start at €20 for 3 months, but can go all the way up to €80 for that same period.

4. Adobe Express

Adobe Express is one of the best business logo makers out there, and it’s also great for a lot of other design projects. What makes it great is all the little options you have that really allow you to hone in on your style and make the logo you have pictured in your mind.

Of course, they offer one of the best AI logo makers. But the reason this tool really shines is because of the customization options. They offer tons of templates for logo ideas, or you can start from scratch.

It’s also worth noting that the editor is extremely easy to use. One of the things that stood out the most is how smoothly the elements move around when you drag and drop them into place.

All that said, a lot of the cool features are locked behind premium, but they aren’t 100% necessary for simple logo design.

Adobe Express Pricing

As we mentioned above, the logo creator is completely free to use. Only features like background removers and the generative AI need a subscription. The first package starts at €11.89 per month.

5. Looka

Previously known as LogoJoy, Looka auto-generates logos to help anyone, regardless of design experience, create something. All that’s really required is your company’s name and then you pick from a few reference logo designs.

One of the drawbacks to Looka, however, is that the design relies heavily on text. Out of the 3 or so times the logo above was generated, nearly all the results were 70%+ text accompanied by a small element or two.

The logos that the tool creates itself is really just a guide for you to add onto with other elements. Because of that, you’ll still need at least a slight sense of design if you want to create anything that looks decent.

Looka Pricing

Looka is completely free to use, and you can even create a logo without signing up. You will just have to create an account if you want to download your logo. However, you are limited to a single, low-resolution logo.

If you want high-resolution, downloadable logos, you’ll have to fork out at least $20 for a single logo, but it can go up to $129 per year for the full package.

6. Hatchful by Shopify

If you really think about it, Shopify offering one of the best logo makers on the market makes total sense. They give everyday users the platform needed to build fairly comprehensive branded websites, and logos are a big part of that.

It should be mentioned, though, that the reason that Shopify’s logo maker is so highly recommended is because of the website builder that’s attached. As a standalone tool, the free logo maker, like many of those mentioned already, doesn’t really offer anything new or outstanding.

If what you’re after is a simple logo with a quick and easy creation process, then this is a great option.

Shopify Logo Maker Pricing

From start to finish, Shopify’s logo maker is completely free to use. There are no hidden upgrades or fees, and they don’t hit you with a price once it comes time to download.

What’s strange is that instead of downloading directly from the platform, they send you a zip file via email. It’s nothing outrageous, but It needed to be said here so that you don’t hammer the download button and end up with 22 emails from Shopify.

7. Tailor Brands Logo Maker

First impressions of Tailor Brands Logo Maker aren’t unique. It doesn’t seem like one of the best logo makers, but once the creation process starts, the truth reveals itself.

The questions and options they give you during the design process are by far the most comprehensive of any tool on this list. We’re talking reference designs, your preference for geometric shapes, whether you like it text or icon-based, and a lot more.

The combination of all these questions doesn’t take too long to get through, and the end result is so much more impressive than a lot of generic tools. You not only have options but there are a lot of varying styles in those options. It is impressive!

Tailor Brands is about selling the branding image as a whole, not just the logo. Once you create your ideal logo, you get social media design options, website mockups, merch, and more. All are customizable and all based on your answers.

Tailor Brands Pricing

Unfortunately, Tailor Brands is not one of the free logo makers on this list. They offer a comprehensive brand identity service, and that comes at a price. Their packages start at just €9.99 per month, but the actual price greatly depends on your needs and your commitment, as they offer discounts for contracts of 1 and 2 years.

8. Ucraft

Ucraft is yet another one of the best AI logo makers on the market, but if you’re someone who prefers a more hands-on approach, Ucraft's Logo Maker gives you that freedom. Instead of relying on pre-made templates, it offers a straightforward vector editor where you can experiment with different shapes, fonts, and icons—mixing and matching them to suit your vision.

However, without the step-by-step guidance that some other tools offer, Ucraft can be a bit more challenging if you’re not already familiar with design basics. So if you had to Google what a 'vector editor' is, this tool might feel a bit advanced.

That said, the extra time and effort required come with a payoff. The ability to fully customize and adjust every element means you can create a logo that’s truly balanced and unique. Even though the options are fairly simple, the user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to move elements around and achieve your ideal design.

Ucraft Pricing

Ucraft offers free logo creation and editing with PNG downloads, but it is very limited in functionality. If you want to upgrade, pricing packages start at $21 per project per month and can be as much as $125 per project per month. Full disclosure: this is not a budget-friendly logo-making solution.

9. LogoMakr

LogoMakr is another versatile logo-making tool that lets you choose between customizing templates or designing your logo entirely from scratch on a blank canvas. It offers a similar experience to Ucraft’s Logo Maker but with more advanced tools and customization options. Despite the extra features, the interface remains user-friendly and fairly easy to navigate.

With LogoMakr, you can play around with shapes, and icons, or even draw freehand. There's even a paint bucket tool reminiscent of old-school Paint, and a solid selection of fonts to work with.

The flexibility here is impressive—you can tweak the number of sides on shapes, skew them, or cut them into different forms. If we’re nit-picking, then the lack of gradient options in addition to flat colors is a letdown. However, the wide range of features makes up for it. Plus, the platform offers other creative tools, like an icon maker, allowing you to turn raster designs into clean, scalable vector icons.

LogoMakr Pricing

LogoMakr has a free option, like most of the best logo makers, but it’s limited to 250px PNGs, which isn’t great. If you’re looking for larger SVGs or PDFs in addition to PNGs, then prices start at $29 per design, and go up to $120 for 30 designs.

10. DesignEvo

Normally, the image above would feature a logo mockup in the editor, but that’s not what makes DesignEvo special. Instead, you’ll see a small snippet of the 10,000+ templates that they offer.

You can, of course, start from scratch if you’d like. The editor is pretty simple, giving you options for fonts, shapes, and colors. It’s nothing crazy, but the sheer number of templates makes it one of the best free logo makers out there, even if you only use it for inspiration.

DesignEvo Pricing

DesignEvo and all the many templates are free to use, but the download is limited to 300px. If you’re looking for something more detailed, then the first pricing option gives you up to 5000px and starts at $24.99. However, this still only gives you access to PNG downloads.

If you want SVG or PDF vector files, then you’ll have to upgrade even further to the $49.99 option. Both packages are a one-time fee only.

Are Free Logo Makers a Good Idea?

Now that we’ve gone through all of these tools, you might be asking yourself if the simplicity and lack of true detail are worth the headache. The truth is that, while these platforms are great in a pinch if you need an online logo, they really can’t represent your brand like it should be represented.

Even in some of the cases above, you’re still having to pay for a mediocre logo, which is why a lot of people choose to trust the pros for their logo-making needs.

That’s where ManyPixels comes in. Instead of twiddling around, making a very forgettable logo, you can trust professionals to design the logo of your dreams. No pre-set elements, funky fonts, or icons that are never quite right.

In fact, for just $549 per month, you have access to unlimited professional designs. This subscription-based service means that fresh logos, graphic designs, illustrations, and website designs are pumped out daily. You never have to worry about design again.

Conclusion

There you have it: the 10 best logo makers on the market today. While they are all great in their own right, it’s important that you do your own research and understand exactly what you need before committing to anything.

Or, you can trust the professionals from the get-go and use a service like ManyPixels. No guesswork, no headaches, and no design skills required.
