One-stop for all your designs. Flat monthly price, unlimited requests and revisions.

Love it or hate it, Canva is one of the most recognizable design platforms in the world.

That said, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and certainly not without faults. A lot of its creative templates are overused, and the design editing features aren’t that extensive. This has led many people to seek out Canva alternatives, searching high and low for good deals, powerful tools, and an experience that better suits their needs.

Sound like you? No worries. There are lots of programs like Canva, and today, we’re going to rattle off a few. Without further ado, here are the 10 best Canva alternatives that you can take advantage of right now.

The 10 Best Canva Alternatives

1. ManyPixels

{{GENERAL_PORTFOLIO="/dev/components"}}

If you’re not a fan of Canva, there’s a big chance that you won’t be a fan of a lot of the alternatives out there either. In that case, it might be a good idea to look into hiring professionals to handle design for you.

ManyPixels is a subscription-based design company that takes the headache out of designing in Canva yourself, all on a budget. For just $549 per month, you have access to unlimited design requests, daily outputs, and 1-2 day turnarounds.

A big bonus here is that ManyPixels offers Canva design services specifically. These are Canva experts that are capable of creating beautiful templates, ready for you to use. That said, you can also request designs outside of Canva. You can have social media graphics, web design, illustrations, presentations, and more, all tailored to your brand and your style.

2. Adobe Express

Certainly, at this point, everyone is familiar with the Adobe suite of tools. Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop (which we will mention later), and more. But one of the most similar programs to Canva that they offer is Adobe Express.

Adobe Express is a template-based design editor that’s great for simple tasks like to create infographics, but it lacks a lot of advanced editing features that some of the other tools on this list might offer.

Adobe Express Pricing

Adobe Express offers a wide range of free templates and design assets. To unlock more advanced features, however, pricing starts at $9.99 per month.

3. Snappa

Snappa is among the top apps like Canva. The best part about it is that with every plan, even the free one, you have access to every template, design, and feature. The only real catch is that you can only download 3 designs per month.

This is a great option for a hobbyist or someone who wants to make a quick birthday card, but not sustainable for a business relying on design. One of the downsides of Snappa compared to the other alternatives to Canva is that it has a lot fewer templates. It’s also lacking any sort of AI implementation, which is kind of rare in the SaaS market nowadays.

Snappa Pricing

As mentioned before, Snappa has a pretty great free offer, you’re just limited to 3 downloads per month. If you want access to the unlimited downloads plan, prices start at $10 per month per user.

4. Pixlr

Pixlr is actually a suite of tools that collectively make up the alternatives to Canva. That said, it’s still a great option for those on a super strict budget. With a single subscription, you get access to Pixlr Editor, Pixlr Express, Pixlr Designer, Remove Bg (AI-powered background removers), as well as Batch Editor.

In all honesty, Pixlr is probably the closest match to Canva on this list, just separated into various apps. The drag and drop editor is intuitive, there are plenty of templates to customize, and there are a handful of AI tools to help you out.

Pixlr Pricing

Also just like Canva, Pixlr offers a pretty comprehensive free version, albeit a little unpolished. Paid packages start at just $1.99 per month, and go all the way up to $12.99 per month. The biggest difference between all of these packages is the number of seats and AI credits.

5. BeFunky

If you’re looking for a free Canva alternative specifically for editing photos for collages, social media accounts, and so forth, BeFunky is a great choice. Just like our previous mention, Pixlr, BeFunky is split into multiple apps: Photo Editor, Graphic Designer, and Collage Maker.

Once you have edited your images in the Photo Editor, they will also be available in the Collage Maker and Graphic Designer. It is worth noting, however, that the Graphic Designer isn’t anywhere near the level of Canva. Editing social media images and design templates is probably the most you’ll get out of this platform.

BeFunky Pricing

BeFunky’s free plan is decent, but it is far more limited compared to the other alternatives to Canva and to what Canva itself offers for free. The real tool shines with the premium plans, which are $6.99 per month if billed annually, and $14.99 per month if billed monthly.

6. VistaCreate

VistaCreate is part of VistaPrint, which is one of the largest printing companies in the world. It is a somewhat decent Canva alternative in the ways of editing capabilities, features, and other offers, but the biggest reason it’s on this list is because of its integration with VistaPrint.

Within the editor, there are thousands upon thousands of templates ready to edit and print. Of course, this is possible with Canva, too, but VistaCreate offers a way better, far more seamless process front first click to printed product.

VistaCreate Pricing

VistaCreate has a great free Canva alternative, offering thousands of templates, 1M+ design assets like videos, vectors, and photos, and even a brand kit. But the real drawback is the 10GB of storage for projects. To get access to unlimited storage and a lot of the cool features, you’ll have to pay $10 per month.

7. Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is probably one of the most well-known photo editing tools in the world, not even just among alternatives to Canva. It really is the ultimate design tool, perfect for creating just about any design you want, and with very few limitations - seemingly the ultimate Canva alternative.

But, if you know anything about Photoshop, then you know the massive learning curve that comes along with it. This is exactly the reason it’s this far down on the list, despite the capabilities it offers to photo editors.

Adobe Photoshop Pricing

One of the biggest drawbacks to Adobe Photoshop is its price. Pricing packages start at $22.99 per month, but it can be bundled with other Adobe programs to save a bit.

8. Stencil

If you’re looking for alternative programs with something similar to Canva’s toolset, then Stencil might be your best bet. It offers a wide range of templates and royalty-free stock photos that you can use to get your design off the ground right away.

There are thousands of fonts to choose from, but perhaps one of the coolest features is the ability to upload your custom font. What’s equally as nice is that there are quite a few preset sizes made especially for blogs, social media graphics, and more.

Stencil Pricing

You can try Stencil for free, but it is highly limited in features and saved designs. If you want to get the most out of the platform, you’ll have to opt for a premium plan, which starts at $9 per month and can go all the way up to $20 per month.

9. Design Wizard

Design Wizard is well known for the incredible volume of images readily available on their platform, boasting over 1 million. It’s also one of the only graphic design tools that offers integration with both Hubspot and Marketo.

It is widely used for its video editing capabilities, as it comes with presets for Pinterest, YouTube, Etsy, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms. That said, the editor is very comparable to Canva, with loads of helpful elements, fonts, and color palettes.

Design Wizard Pricing

Like most of the other programs like Canva, Design Wizard offers a free Canva alternative, but it’s really best for just resizing images and adding text. The next step up would be the Pro plan, which starts at $7.42 per month, but only if you opt to be billed annually.

10. Visme

Visme is definitely one of the most expensive Canva-like software out there, but it’s because it focuses mostly on more complicated designs like infographics and other marketing materials. Sure, it offers pretty much all the editing capabilities that Canva does, but it allows you to go a bit further beyond.

With Visme, you can generate graphs and other widgets to help visualize complex data, which is great for internal communications within a company. What’s better, Visme is known for being incredibly intuitive and easy to use. It comes with an entire suite of collaboration tools, too, making it easier to share your creations with the entire team.

Visme Pricing

As stated just above, Visme is one of the more expensive options we’ve talked about today. They offer a free Canva alternative, but like all the others, it is extremely limited. Outside of that, plans start at $12.45 per month but can go all the way up to $159 per month, depending on how many users you want. What’s worse is that you have to pay double unless you opt for yearly billing.

Conclusion

As you can see above, Canva alternatives aren’t hard to come by. As many as we’ve mentioned here, there are loads more out there to choose from. It really all depends on which aspects of Canva you’re looking for an alternative to.

But, in reality, all of the programs similar to Canva that we’ve covered have something at least somewhat similar to it. If you’re looking for a completely fresh way to create professional designs, then going with ManyPixels is probably your best option.

Not only can you still take advantage of the utility of Canva, but you can get the designs without lifting a finger yourself. You can get Canva designs, social media graphics, illustrations, and more, all under the same subscription, all in the same month.
