According to Hubspot, posts with images get 650% more engagement than content that only includes text.

This goes to show the importance, no, the necessity of professional help with social media design. These designs can make a huge impact and take some time to make, which is exactly why hiring a social media design company is a great idea.

If that’s something that you're interested in, then stick around. Today, we’re going to go over the top 10 social media design companies in 2024 and beyond.

How We Chose the Top 10 Social Media Design Companies

It’s no secret that there are loads of incredible companies and agencies out there for design. Still, not all of them offer social media services, and certainly, not all are created equal. We dug through the trenches to find the best of the best, and based the top 10 on these criteria:

  • The company/agency/platform in question has to offer social media design as a service specifically
  • Pricing (if they offer any)
  • Case Studies

In each section, we will discuss all of these criteria specifically by going over the services, designs, prices, and case studies that each social media design company has to offer.

{{SMD_PORTFOLIO="/dev/components"}}

Manypixels provides users with quality, vetted, and battle-tested designers for a flat monthly rate. Where a normal agency would make you wait weeks for some designs, Manypixels promises a fast turnaround, usually only taking 1-2 days.

With over 3,000 customers served and 150,000+ designs delivered to happy customers, Manypixels is a great way to boost design and engagement across your social media platforms. All it takes is 3 simple steps:

  1. Submit your request
  2. Your designer gets to work
  3. You receive your design

Manypixels makes it easy to connect with your designer, ensuring that your designs are not only on-point, but get delivered to you quickly. The process is simple, and it cuts out the headache of having to hire your own in-house team or looking for quality freelancers.

Manypixels Pricing

Manypixels offers 3 pricing packages, each with its own perks and each getting cheaper depending on whether you want to subscribe monthly, quarterly, or yearly.

The Advanced package starts at $549/month and gives you access to 1 daily design with a 1-2 business day turnaround.

The business package starts at $999/month and gives you access to 2 daily designs, decreases the turnaround to the next day, and opens up the possibility of working with motion design.

Finally, the Designated Designer package starts at $1,299/month and gives you access to your very own dedicated designer, whom you pick. This package offers same-day design delivery, real-time Slack communication, and access to the full range of design services.

Creating Social Media Graphics for a Fast-Growing Marketing Agency

Moxie Marketing, led by CEO Jeanette Knutti since 2014, is a California-based agency aiding businesses and nonprofits in digital marketing. Initially lacking an in-house design team, Moxie struggled with inconsistent quality when outsourcing graphic design tasks. Seeking reliability, they turned to ManyPixels for help with social media graphics and expanded to include visuals for educational content.

Impressed by ManyPixels' quick turnaround and high-quality designs, Jeanette found the partnership beneficial in freeing up her time. With detailed briefs and efficient communication, Moxie and ManyPixels collaborated seamlessly to deliver top-notch graphics for internal projects. While mainly used internally, Jeanette sees the potential to leverage ManyPixels for client work, enhancing service offerings and potentially generating a return on investment.

2. Superside

Superside provides scalable design solutions to Enterprise teams, offering both everyday production design work and large-scale strategic design solutions. With a client base of over 300 businesses, including Facebook, PUMA, Amazon, and Shopify, Superside simplifies design processes for Marketing, Creative, and Product Design teams.

Superside Pricing

Superside breaks down its services into credits, each design project/task costing a certain number of said credits. Prices start at $5,000 per month for what they call “Level 1”, which includes 50 credits.

Just to give you an idea of the scale, Level 3 goes all the way to $13,000/month and comes with 150 credits. It’s also important to highlight the fact that every package comes with a $1,000 service fee included in the price.

Superside Case Study

GoHenry Fuels Financial Futures With Bold Campaign Design

GoHenry approached Superside with a bold initiative: launching a campaign advocating for mandatory financial education in UK schools. Utilizing eye-catching social media design, Superside crafted a compelling movement to underscore the importance of investing in children's futures.

To ensure maximum impact, Superside opted for a vibrant neon color palette, ensuring the campaign's presence couldn't be ignored. Their team of copywriters, concept creators, and art directors collaborated to develop a fresh messaging approach and visual style that resonated with audiences of all backgrounds.

The result was an impactful campaign that kickstarted GoHenry's petition for compulsory financial education in UK schools.

3. 99designs

99design is a design marketplace where users can handpick and hire designs of all kinds, including social media design. What’s interesting about their approach is they allow users to select a design package, and then pair them with designers based on the package details.

For example, you can pick the logo and social media pack, and they will point you in the right direction based on the expertise of individual designers.

99designs Pricing

99designs has a selection of pricing packages based on categories. These categories include logos, brand identity, brand guides, websites, and, of course, social media.

We won’t get into too much detail on all of them, but we will say that the logo and social media pack starts at $399 and includes a logo, Facebook cover, Twitter header, and YouTube background.

99designs Reviews

Since 99designs isn’t an agency, there aren’t any case studies to discuss. What we can cover, however, are user reviews from places like Trustpilot.

Overall, on Trustpilot, they have 3.8 stars. What’s slightly concerning is that nearly 1/4th of their reviews are 1-star, expressing terrible experiences and lackluster designs.

4. Designhill

Designhill is a creative marketplace where users can hire a variety of design experts in categories like web design, book and magazine design, and, of course, social media.

Designhill’s social media design services cover Twitter headers, Facebook covers, LinkedIn covers, and other social media page designs. Just like 99designs, Designhill pairs you up with the designer of your choice, making it easy to find and collaborate with an expert quickly.

Designhill Pricing

Designhill offers 4 pricing packages. The Fast Track package starts at $249 and comes with 20+ designs. What’s interesting, though, is that they label the designers in this category as “good” whereas other packages offer “great” or “expert”.

The Standard package comes in at $399 but doubles the designs to 40. It also offers what they call “great” designers and social media promotion.

Next, the Executive package starts at $699, offering 60 designs and “expert” designers. In addition to social media promotion, users also get blog promotion.

Finally, the Premium package starts at $999 and offers 80+ designs. With this package, they offer “exceptional” designers.

Designhill Reviews

Designhill is another designer-for-hire platform, which means there won’t be any case studies to view. However, we can look at some reviews on Trustpilot.

The overwhelming majority of users give Designhill a 5-star rating, with only a fraction of them giving anything less than 4 stars. The biggest complaint about the platform is actually on the designers’ side, claiming that it is very difficult to navigate and utilize, and in some cases, designers complain about unfair pay.

5. Dribbble

Dribbble is easily one of the biggest, if not the biggest design platforms in the world right now, making it a home base for most of the biggest names in design. While it’s not inherently a social media design company, the platform does make it easy to find designers with pedigree in social media.

To find a social media designer, it’s as easy as filtering the view by keyword, and selecting your designer based on their reviews and portfolio. This style of searching makes it incredibly easy to find the right designer for you simply by scrolling until something catches your eye.

Dribbble Pricing

Since Dribbble is a true creative marketplace, allowing users to collaborate directly with the designer instead of paying an upfront fee, the pricing will vary wildly.

Some good advice here would be to select a few designers that you like, reach out to them with your ideas, and get quotes from each.

Dribbble Reviews

Dribbble has an interesting relationship with reviews. Trustpilot shows that more than half of Dribbble’s users give less than 5 stars, and more than a quarter of the total reviews are 1 star.

The biggest complaint that is circling is that the setup process is complicated. Some users even describe it as being more complex than opening a bank account. Other reviewers say that they receive unreasonable amounts of spam emails and that even their subscribers on the platform are bot accounts.

6. Fiverr

If you’re not already familiar, Fiverr is a marketplace where you can hire people to do just about anything, including design social media graphics. What’s interesting about this platform is that it’s a mix of hobbyists, professionals, and even companies that offer their services to the public.

Again, Fiverr is not explicitly a social media design company, but it is worth mentioning on this list due to the sheer variety of designers that you can find there. What’s more, you can find designers for just about any budget. Some are better than others, but you will still have plenty of options.

Fiverr Pricing

On Fiverr, you’ll find social media designers who offer their services for as low as $5 to designers who charge hundreds of dollars per image. The choice is really up to you, but be sure to filter your budget at the top of the page.

Fiverr Reviews

With Fiverr, unfortunately, it’s hit or miss. You can luck up and find an amazing social media designer with incredible skills, or you could find the exact opposite.

It’s situations like this that give Fiverr the reputation that it has, only garnering 1.5 stars on Trustpilot. The biggest complaint is that the quality of work leaves much to be desired. The platform is often used as a launching pad for people just getting into their respective niche, so you will need to come equipped with a lot of patience.

7. Designjoy

Designjoy is a graphic design company that specializes in several areas, including social media design. They offer a subscription-based model that allows users to request as many designs as they’d like, receive said design in 1-2 business days, and request unlimited revisions.

Designjoy is openly endorsed by the likes of Kevin O’Leary from Shark Tank and allows users to transparently view and manage design tasks as they see fit. Using a standard Trello board, customers can view backlogged, active, and completed tasks. Customers can also invite an unlimited number of team members so that anyone can submit design requests.

Designjoy Pricing

Designjoy offers unlimited everything, which makes it one of the more expensive options on this list. The Standard membership is $4,995/month, but only offers one request at a time. The Pro plan goes up to a whopping $7,995/month and the only real difference is that it offers 2 requests at a time.

Designjoy Case Study

What’s interesting about Designjoy is that, despite costing so much, they don’t have tangible case studies on their homepage. They offer some samples of work that they’ve done, but it’s essentially just a collection of images, which is hosted in a Figma file.

8. Chaos Design

Chaos Design is an enterprise-level marketing strategy agency that helps brands build their image through a variety of mediums, including social media design.

Chaos Design implements social media design as part of its bigger enterprise branding strategy, helping companies reimagine their approach and bring their new ideas into focus through graphic design, logos, new color palettes, and a lot more.

Chaos Design Pricing

Chaos Design doesn’t offer any pricing information on its website. As an enterprise-focused social media design company, you can imagine that it can be hard to summarize their services into a pricing plan.

However, according to Clutch, the minimum pricing per project is $10,000. This can vary wildly depending on the extent of the project, but that gives you a good idea of what you can expect to spend.

Chaos Design Case Study

Global B2B Branding and Communications Framework for Sony Europe

Sony has partnered with Chaos for over 12 years, shaping brand strategy, guidelines, and marketing campaigns across EMEA. Chaos developed a B2B brand framework, transitioning Sony's consumer passion to a relevant proposition, "The Power of Imagination." They also crafted the name "Finity" for Sony's cinema format and supported Sony ISS's advertising campaigns for component camera blocks and image-sensing products.

Additionally, Chaos spearheaded Sony Europe's 50-50 internal communications initiative, promoting gender equality with an iconic logo and positive messaging. They developed marketing communications for Sony's Outside Broadcast vehicles and created a Digital Asset Management site for Sony PSG, streamlining asset usage and storage across regional offices, and supporting social media sharing and collaboration.

9. Design Pickle

Design Pickle is a creative subscription service that offers design services to some of the world’s most exclusive enterprise solutions. Names like Yahoo!, Amazon, and Salesloft have all used Design Pickle to help them elevate their digital presence through magnetic social media designs.

What’s important to point out is that, although Design Pickle is a subscription service, it is still quite expensive. It is angled more towards corporations with larger budgets, and less so towards non-enterprise brands.

Design Pickle Pricing

Design Pickle offers 2 categories for pricing: standard plans and power plans. Power plans don’t have a price online, as they are more of a custom service. But, the Standard plans do have a price, and they are as follows:

The essential plan starts at $1,249/month and offers basic graphic design, illustration, and presentation design services.

The premium plan starts at $1,949/month and includes video editing and motion graphic services in addition to the basics mentioned in the standard plan.

How Orange Lab Media Group Boosts Marketing With Design Pickle

Orange Lab Media Group specializes in various advertising and communication services, with over 20 years of combined experience. Initially focused on printing business cards, they expanded in 2015 under founder Keel Russell's leadership. Facing communication challenges after their in-house designer relocated, Keel discovered Design Pickle through Instagram.

Partnering with Design Pickle streamlined design requests, improved project management, and provided high-quality designs, enhancing brand identity and boosting sales. This collaboration facilitated smoother communication and project management, contributing to overall business growth and client satisfaction.

10. Disruptive Advertising

At its core, Disruptive Advertising is a digital marketing agency that’s known for a lot of services, including social media design. They focus on helping brands fortify their digital presence and are backed by a large team of dynamic experts.

Part of that digital presence is social media, and Disruptive Advertising specializes in curating content and graphics for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and more. In addition to said content and graphics, Disruptive also helps craft and manage creative social media campaigns.

Disruptive Advertising Pricing

As a marketing-focused agency, Disruptive Advertising has a lot to offer. Each client will be different, which means pulling together comprehensive and accurate pricing plans is pretty much impossible.

But, according to Clutch, the minimum price of a project at Disruptive Advertising is $5,000. If you dive into the reviews a little more, though, you’ll see claims of paying $100,000+ for a single project.

Disruptive Advertising Case Study

Disruptive Advertising does offer case studies on their website, but strangely enough, they’re in PDF form, and they don’t have any that specifically detail social media design. We did, however, find this quote that mentions social media performance:

“Every social campaign has dramatically improved click-through rates and user engagement. Disruptive Advertising amazes us with its organized workflow, flexible scaling, and fluid communication. Each team member brings deep industry knowledge and a dedicated, results-driven work ethic. Disruptive Advertising is an extension of my team. —Mark Boothe, Head of Adobe Experience Cloud Social Media” — Mark Boothe, Head of Adobe Experience Cloud Social Media
