Midjourney is certainly one of the most popular text to image tools. One reason for it is that Midjourney used to be free. However, now you need to pay to use it.
So, whether you’re looking for free Midjourney alternatives or are prepared to spend a few bucks, here are the best AI image generators.
1. DALL-E 3
Dalle-E is probably the most famous AI model, developed by the creators of ChatGPT.
Dalle-3 is the latest version of the platform, which you’ll have to use as Dalle-E 2 no longer accepts new users. Dalle-3 is certainly better at recognizing prompts. However, some users report that it’s more limited in terms of style.

The Premium Plan costs $5.36 per month and comes with 100 generative credits.There are also two other options available if you want to use Firefly along with other Adobe Programs - one app for $10.74 a month, and 20+ apps for $62.24 a month.
Best for
Adobe Firefly is a great tool for professional designers looking to speed up their workflow. The seamless integration with other Adobe software is another bonus in this case.
5. Night Cafe
This is yet another awesome free Midjourney alternative to test out. You get 5 credits daily, and can earn extra credits by publishing your designs or voting in the daily challenge.
NightCafe is not an AI generator itself, but rather a service that incorporates several AI models, including Stable Diffusion (the latest SDXL 1.0 model too), DALL-E 2, CLIP-Guided Diffusion, VQGAN+CLIP, and Style Transfer (which allows you transfer the style of one image to another).
There are also some basic image editing features available, although nearly as extensive as Firefly and Canva.
