How to Request a Presentation?

A personalized business presentation is a visual extension of your brand identity and an important element for emphasizing your professionalism, attracting clients and investors.

In this guide, you will learn how to create the perfect presentation brief with ManyPixels! 👇🏻

1. The type of design

☝🏻You must choose between two options:

  • new design - you don't have a current similar presentation, you wish to create one from scratch.
  • redesign - you already have an older version of the presentation, you just wish to improve the concept.

There are three imperative brand assets (design elements) that you need finalized and shared with your designer before you submit the brief. You can upload them as attachments, share them as links, or even save and select them as your brand profile

✅ final logo (source file included)
✅ brand color palette
✅ brand fonts

2. Size and formats

There are different sizes and formats for different concepts and purposes, you’ll need to mention yours. 🙌🏼 A good example is 👉🏼 "size A4, landscape orientation, for digital purposes PowerPoint presentation". Pick a design software that allows your designer to create professional and clean concepts with ManyPixels. Here's what we can work with:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint

👍🏻  it's easy to use, supports different file types (.pdf, .gif, .jpg, .png, .bmp, .tif, .rtf, etc.), includes some transitions and effects, includes themes, backgrounds and fonts;
👎🏻 limits creativity, not the best tool to use when collaborating with designers, partners, or associates.

  • Google Slides

👍🏻 it's a free, web-based software that allows real-time collaboration between different persons, it offers a variety of templates and pre-made concepts. You can export Google Slides as PowerPoint and vice-versa.
👎🏻 limits creativity and requires a Google account.

  • Adobe Illustrator

👍🏻 limitless creativity, allows you to create vectors, supports different types of files, includes filters, effects, backgrounds, fonts, you can export it as .pdf.
👎🏻 costs, requires specific knowledge and skills.

  • Adobe InDesign

👍🏻 it's the business leader for creating layouts (e.g. brochures, manuals, books, magazines, etc.), allows you to combine text and graphics in an easy way, supports different types of files, provides professional features and updates
👎🏻 costs, requires specific knowledge and skills, the adjustment of photos is limited (it is not a photo-editing software),

💡Tips & Tricks! Consider these pros and cons when choosing the right software for your project,  so your designer can start off on the right foot when it comes to creating your presentation.

3. Content

Titles, subtitles, paragraphs, you need to know exactly what you want to say. Before you submit the brief to your designer you need to know what points you want to get across, what information you need to include, and what graphics or images you want to show. Once you have a solid plan for what each page/slide should contain, your designer can start thinking about the concept.

💡Tips & Tricks! Does your design project require custom illustrations/icons?
If the answer is yes, don't forget to mention in the brief all details related, so that an illustrator along with a graphics designer can be assigned to your project right from the start, avoiding delays.

4. Inspiration

What are your aesthetic preferences or reference materials you are inspired by? Always provide a visual direction for your designer 👉🏻 What other similar concepts do you like and why? You can upload them as attachments, share them as links or even save them and select them as your brand profile. You can also upload a pre-existing presentation that you want us to redesign.

  • upload images of similar graphics that you like or assets you already have and want to use
  • provide links to similar concepts that you like, on platforms such as Dribbble, Behance, Pinterest, ManyPixels Portfolio, etc. or any other inspirational source you might find convenient.

🙌🏻 After you've successfully completed all sections of the brief and submitted the project, your assigned designer will start working on it and will deliver the first draft on the next business day (sometimes 2 days, depending on the complexity of the task).

💡Tips & Tricks! Your designer will provide 4-5 pages / slides per update / day. Here is a rough estimate of what you can expect to receive from your designer on a daily basis  👉🏻 daily output. If revisions are needed, no worries, you can easily communicate with your designer using the chat in the ManyPixels app.
